Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Leader to oversee all financial aspects of our factory located in San Antonio, TX. This is a fully onsite position , and relocation assistance is available.
This role will serve as the custodian of stewardship and governance for the facility, acting as a trusted co-pilot to the Factory Manager and Leadership Team. Responsibilities include managing factory financial matters, making fact-based decisions, providing cost visibility and forecasts, ensuring compliance with financial legal requirements, and driving relevant analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Drive cost improvement opportunities, contribute to improvement projects, validate and track proposed savings, challenge cost assumptions based on benchmark information, and actively lead improvement activities in alignment with the business Operational Master Plan
- Manage and interpret factory reporting for actuals and forecasts, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timeliness. Monitor progress, close gaps, and promote ownership of data at the source while adhering to Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards, and Costing Standards
- Lead strategic financial analysis for major decisions related to the factory, ensuring transparency of costs and non-financial implications
- Drive business planning, oversee the factory budget with the management team, and serve as a key liaison between the factory and Corporate/Commercial Teams in the planning process. Conduct forecasts, revisions, and simulations as necessary
- Develop, control, and ensure thorough evaluations of capital investment plans and requests, including post-CAPEX evaluations
- Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities by developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Accountable for Segregation of Duties (SODs) and assessing the effectiveness of compensating controls. Establish and monitor the effectiveness of internal controls, escalating business risks as needed
- Coach and develop finance individuals and teams, including career and succession planning, to ensure they meet or exceed performance expectations
- Drive understanding of financial key figures, costing, and business impact within and outside the factory. Organize training sessions to enhance knowledge for non-specialists
- Manage and oversee the work of a cost accountant, ensuring accurate & timely financial reporting analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in cost or general accounting
- Experience with accounting principles in fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, inventory control, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of activity based costing/management and factory management system & tools
- Basic understanding of information systems function
- Advanced experience with MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
- Experience with Oracle & SAP
Skills:
- Strong team player with excellent project leadership skills and ability to work independently
- Influential communicator with the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage a multi-faceted department
