Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Lead Parts Clerk is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department. Procure parts from vendors and maintains stocking levels, utilizing a computerized parts system. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with vendors to secure parts at the best price and pick up parts from vendors.
- Maintain inventory at stocking levels.
- Perform Usage analysis and make recommendations on improvement, identify root cause to high usage parts and sell/transfer/delete low or non-used parts.
- Track and Maintain Warranty documentation to improve costs
- Maintain an organized parts room.
- Maintain parts system through the use of a computer system
- Maintain a hard copy filing system.
- Unload delivery vehicles.
- Follow code and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all documents related to purchases, inventory control, transfers, adjustments, etc.
- Practice and follow safety requirements
- Involved with day to day administrative functions which may include answering phones, report generation, responding to inquiries, and other clerical tasks
- Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures and policies.
- Receptive to training and performing functions in multiple areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment through the use of 5S visuals management tools and standards
- Perform all functions according to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) meeting required production standards.
- Coordinate activities within a team environment and be flexible in adapting to changing work environment.
- Follow escalation process standard work and assist team in “Why Why” Problem Solving Analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must be knowledgeable of inventory systems and processes.
- Needs to be computer literate.
- Must be able to drive a single axle truck and a forklift.
- 0-3 years of experience with administrative duties.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred must have valid driver’s license.
SKILLS:
- Strong level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills.
- Work independently with minimal supervision once assignments or responsibilities are outlined and delegated.
- Display a strong sense of ownership for work.
- Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
- Honesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
- Communication - Communicates effectively with others using both oral and written communication skills.
- Organized and Timely - Uses organization and good time management skills.
- Ensures tasks are completed within set deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
- Will work near and around moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to see alpha/numbers on computer screen/ paper work
- Must be able to pull, squat, kneel, climb and/or balance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
