Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is a dynamic and inspiring leader who drives operational efficiency across the team, with a focus on safety, quaility and productivity, you will lead and motivate the team to achieve exceptional results. As the Production Supervisor you will create a positive and collaborative work environment that inspires and empower team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. In addition your responsibilities include, ensuring the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and optimizing productivity. You will strategically manage resources, streamline processes, and identify areas for improvement to enhance overall operational process improvement.
Shift: (2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm)
Key Responsibilities:
• Motivates and guides the team to meet all daily targets including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSMs)
• Monitors the performance of the manufacturing team including safety, quality, cost, and productivity
• Guides the team through the implementation, execution, and improvement of Daily Management
• Systems including Safety, Centerline, Clean-Inspect-and-Lubricate, Total Productive Maintenance, and Quality Defect Elimination
• Participates in Daily Directional Setting meetings (DDS) and Gemba walks to: Ensure high levels of quality, productivity, and associate engagement and Identify problems and implement positive corrective action
• Motivates the team in maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the department
• Ensures all customer delivery commitments are met according to schedule
• Creates a safe and positive work environment for all associates
• Ensures all paperwork is properly documented
• Ensures all team members follow SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements and procedures
• Performs all other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a Production Lead or Supervisory Role within a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree required
• Associates Degree preferred
• Work experience or military experience can be in lieu of education
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently to meet daily deadlines and objectives
• Strong mathematical skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and follow up when responses are needed
• Knowledge and proven ability to work effectively in high performing organizations
• Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills are required
• Ability to utilize effective interpersonal skills to communicate and positively influence team members
• Ability to assess potential risks and quickly apply the appropriate corrective actions
• Ability to analyze numbers, determine trends, and make recommendations for actions to be taken
• Must be able to motivate and energize others to work toward the achievement of organizational goals and objectives
• Must be able to effectively communicate with senior management, outside consultants, suppliers and associates
• Ability to successfully collaborate with support functions such as EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Production, Inventory Control, Planning, and Human Resources
• Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within a packaging environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
