Technical Unit Lead in NDC Santiago

Position Summary
At the satellite centre of NPTC Confectionery supporting the biscuit category, as the Technical
Unit Lead at NDC Santiago you will lead and develop a team of category specialists and experts
to drive the development, innovation and renovation of biscuit confectionery
processes/systems from inception through all stages of development and particularly their
deployment. The team, incorporating the functions of engineering, packaging and
manufacturing support deployment projects and technical assistance for significant technology
improvements from R&D or suppliers into all biscuit factories. The team also includes SHE and
site services, responsible for leading safety and health at site level and the management of the
local R&D building, equipment and facilities.
A Day in the life of Technical Unit lead in NDC
• Support the team to benchmark, develop and propose new ideas and projects to R&D,
the strategic business unit and operations.
• Lead the CAPEX investment in the centre to ensure deliver of product and technical
innovations required by the business
• Support and sponsor delivery of OMP priorities focused on operations.
• Work with SHE and Site Services do deliver the safety strategy of the centre and ensure
compliance to engineering and SHE standards at site level
• Lead the development of a cross functional team of engineers and senior process
specialists
What will make you successful
• Degree level in Engineering related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in related technical field
• Strong and recognized experience in category technical role
• Significant exposure in different parts of the organization (major projects or
assignments in different R&D centres or in Operations)
• Successful I&R project experience
• High capabilities in leading sustainable change.
• Mentor and coach with a strong track record of developing people
• Successful experience in NCE implementation by leading change in the organisation
(Market, factory, R&D).
• Excellent communication skills in English is a must have
