Objective:
Guarantee the profitable and sustainable growth of Infant Formula, GUMS & Milk Powders, reaching the sales levels agreed on the short and long-term plans, and earning market share. Lead the development of strategies, aligned to regional and global guidelines, through deep consumer & HCP knowledge and understanding to ensure demand generation, brand preference & loyalty and market share growth. Detect business opportunities and formulate commercial strategies for the categories' development. Responsible for the full P&L of the categories within the scope of the role. All the above in application of the WHO Code, the Nestlé Policy and Instructions for breast milk substitutes, and the local market legislation.
A day as Category Manager IF & Milks
- Design, develop and deploy the MBS plan; detecting market trend & opportunities and proposing strategies in compliance with the business objectives. Including medical detailing.
- Lead the business objectives' achievement of the brand/product in the middle and long term.
- Plan and develop the commercial strategies for the brands/products under your scope and communication platforms under the responsibility, establishing and allocating resources to carry out the plans.
- Determine PFME need and assignment Laboratory methods and practices: Ensure the correct functioning of the factory laboratory, including personnel safety, availability of equipment and training of technicians.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends to achieve the consumer and HCP´s preference and satisfaction of our brands and services. Generate deep knowledge of the consumer, HCP and the market (including competitive setting). Detect opportunities and implement action plans to tackle.
- Responsible for all the communication variables of brands and products: packing, advertising, promotions, placement in channels, pricing strategy, digital communications, strategy and messages of medical detailing activities with HCPs- Ensure the activities are properly carried out according to the Brand Essence, positioning and segmentation, following the BEP process, in compliance with the defined guidelines and Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with trade marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective trade marketing programs, promotions, and point-of-sale materials to drive product visibility and sales in retail channels.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market share, and consumer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the baby food category.
What makes yoy successful…
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field or a professional duly trained in nutrition, dietetics, food engineering, healthcare sciences and experience in marketing. MBA preferred.
- 10 years + of proven experience in marketing and commercial area, preferably in the children’s target group or pharmaceuticals or related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Caribbean market, including consumer preferences, cultural nuances and regulatory requirements for baby food products.
- Proficient in digital marketing, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
- Strong project management experience.
- Fluency in English is required.
