The Blending Operator is responsible for mixing batches of product in accordance with batching and weigh out instructions. The Blender must ensure specifications are obtained, verifying adherence through appropriate laboratory tests. Upon completion of finished batches, the Blending Operator ensures that documentation is complete and transfers product so that it is ready for processing. The Blending Operator ensures that blend areas, blending systems, and ingredients are maintained according to applicable GMP standards. The blender must also work in proximity to the process operator. The blender is expected to hit production targets set forth by the blend lead at the start of each shift. This position reports to the applicable shift Production Supervisor.

• Schedule: Rotating 2/2/3 on day and night shift with opportunities for overtime
• Starting hourly pay of $22.00 ($3 night shift premium) based on experience

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:
- Operation of blending, product transfer and cleaning systems including, but not limited to, Mix-Blend A,B,C,D and Blend Room 4. CIP circuits A, B, C, Bottle Line and Silos. Load, unload, stage, and store product using various powered industrial trucks
- Demonstrate accurate measurement abilities of ingredient quantities and addition of ingredients to the blending system in accordance with approved blending instructions. Prepare and complete all customer orders including related documentation
- Accurate documentation of all pertinent material information (batch numbers, quantities, etc.) in SAP for the specific Production Order for every split. Accurate documentation of all pertinent quality checks in SAP for the specific Production Order for every split.
- Operation of laboratory equipment required to test finished batches and ensure that they meet specifications.
- Blenders shall check all filters in the blend room they are assigned at start of each shift, provide any items found in the filter to QA, and report any incident when foreign material makes into the blend.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures
- Basic math and computer knowledge and use
- Ability to lift, kneel, bend over, squat, stoop and carry 50 lbs.
Skills:
- Blenders shall check all filters in the blend room they are assigned at start of each shift, provide any items found in the filter to QA, and report any incident when foreign material makes into the blend.
- Operation of material handling equipment (Lift Truck, Pallet Jack, Drum Dolly, etc.) as needed in support of blending process.
- Basic Preventative Maintenance of blending and CIP systems.
- Basic operation and CCP monitoring of processing systems according to the HACCP plan.
- Attend all safety meetings, report any safety incidents/accidents and understand and follow all Company and Plant Safety policies and Procedures.
