Position Overview:
Multi-skilled technician with primary responsibilities of maintaining equipment in a proactive manner and troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all production-related equipment. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to eliminate unplanned stoppages, increase asset intensity, and build operator technical capabilities.

- 1st Shift: 6am to 2:30pm
- 2nd Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm - $0.75 shift differential
- 3rd Shift: 10pm to 6:30am - $1.25 shift differential
- Hourly pay of $33-37/hr depending on knowledge and demonstrated skill

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:
Skilled in the service and repair of production-related equipment, with extensive knowledge of the principles and practical applications of pneumatics, hydraulics, chain and belt drives, bushings, bearings, idler systems, gearboxes, pumps, valves, fasteners, seals, gaskets, mechanical fabrication, and rigging. Demonstrates the capability to adhere to work standards and comply fully with all safety permitting and facility Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements during task execution. Additionally, proficient in the service and repair of production-related electrical equipment, possessing knowledge of power distribution and lighting systems, AC/DC motors and transformers, machine and line control devices, fluid control and distribution, electronic controls and instrumentation, variable frequency drives, and basic interpretation of programmable logic controllers (PLC). Committed to demonstrating safe practices and utilizing appropriate tools while working with electrical systems and components.
Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of production related equipment including but not limited to:
- Packaging Labelers, Case Packers, Palletizers, Conveyor systems and shunts, Storage systems, Product Transport systems.
- Storage and Retrieval systems including cranes and conveyors.
- Preventive/Predictive Maintenance - Responsible for executing planned work schedule as assigned and creating follow up notifications/improvements in SAP system to ensure cost effective and reliable equipment performance.
- Completion of all assigned work in a timely manner following standards and best practices.
- Provide technical training to Operators as part of our NCE practices to ensure knowledge transfer and autonomy in equipment operations.
- Creative problem solving skills to perform equipment improvements and enhancements to optimize production with positive contribution to all key deliverables of safety, quality, and cost.
- A strong commitment to continuous improvement and competency development.
- Participate in problem solving utilizing tools such as BDA and GSTD.
- Actively participate in NCE and Improvement teams.
- Lead continuous update of Maintenance procedures, and PM Optimization efforts.
- Review required spare parts to keep maximize technical warehouse service factor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Trade School diploma/certificate in industrial maintenance, electrical, or related field preferred
- Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, holidays, or rotating shifts required
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and controls as well as electrical troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience with 480V
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks and comfort working in a high-speed production environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills; PLC experience desired
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance work order systems needed, SAP experience preferred
- Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to coach others
- Willingness to work internally and externally in diverse environmental conditions
- Is able to function effectively as a team member or in one-on-one situations, and with minimum supervision
- Must be able to read and understand the ladder use policy to safely climb and descend ladders
- Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English; Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
- Ability to use test tools (volt meters, amp probes, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals

- In depth knowledge of Root Cause analysis
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $33.00 to $37.00/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
