POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the safe maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum equipment run time. In this management role, you will be a key partner between Production and Engineering to drive the maintenance team to deliver reliable equipment at optimal cost. 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Oversee the work activities and training of 5 direct reports and 50 indirect reports.
•    Provide direction to maintenance staff and ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all city, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met throughout the company.
•    Review the operation of plant equipment and systems regularly to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
•    Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance. 
•    Maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. 
•    Order equipment and perform upgrades/changes.
•    Works with Management to attain goals, develop policies, and carry out strategies to increase profitability and success of the company.
•    Manages department for safety and compliance with established policies for an accident-free workplace.
•    Up to 10 % travel required.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION:

•    Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Operations Management, Engineering or other related field or years of experience in lieu of a degree.
•    Minimum of 5+ years Maintenance experience, preferred within food manufacturing.
•    Minimum of 3+ years management/leadership experience.
 
SKILLS:
  In-depth knowledge in repairs and maintenance of processing equipment and systems (within a food manufacturing facility, preferred).
•    Able to lead, coach and mentor a technical team, and influence change at all levels of the organization.
•    Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and financial data.
•    Sound technical skills, logical ability, and problem-solving skills with an operational focus. 
•    Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.  
•    Able to gather and analyze data to deliver presentations and make data-driven decisions.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong written and oral communications skills.
•    Able to respond to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
