As a Quality Supervisor, you challenge cross‑functional teams to achieve first‑time‑right results, eliminate defects, and make sound, risk‑based decisions. You champion continuous improvement and hold yourself and others accountable for maintaining high standards. You serve as the guardian of food safety and compliance, providing leadership that supports the organization in meeting its objectives. You empower and engage your team to build autonomy and drive a high‑performance culture. You focus on elevating standards and advancing consistent improvement to help the organization become best in class. You also ensure that all products are released on time and fully comply with internal specifications and external regulatory requirements.
Assures Factory Food Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all Company Quality principles and policies as well as local laws and regulations;
- Ensure compliance to food safety and regulatory requirements (national and international);
- Ensure factory food safety management systems and HAACP programs implemented and maintained;
- Ensure adherence to good hygienic practices in the factory;
- Ensure the pest management program is implemented and complaint;
- Collaborate with other function to setup, manage, enforce and maintain the Management System.
Strive for Zero Defect & No Waste at Factory
- Lead the quality failures analysis and initiatives to eliminate the defects;
- Ensure on time release of finish products;
- Promote and support cross-fertilization of NCE best practices, knowledge, standards and improvements;
- Promote sharing of best practices;
- Liaise with other departments, functions, Applications Groups and Business to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure Consistency
- Support the Idea to Launch process;
- Collaborate with other functions to drive improvement in the manufacturing of products that consistently delivers consumer preference.
Ensure development of competencies in Quality
- Ensure development of people through career management (experience), coaching and training;
- Invest time coaching his/hers teams;
- Foster a healthy employee relations climate
Qualifications / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Dairy Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline . A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality roles, including at least 2 years in a supervisor capacity in a large food and beverage manufacturing facility
- Must have strong knowledge and understanding of food safety / HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen Controls, Sanitary design/controls, pest control, basic food regulations, specifications, analytical and microbiological lab methods desired and basic food technology.
- Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment with minimal direct supervision and have strong demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and self-initiative skills.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish Preferred
Critical Experiences
- Demonstrated capability to lead a group of experienced professionals;
- Management exposure in a factory/ market;
- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams and different initiatives;
- Lead part of a change effort;
- Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factories.
The approximate pay range for this position is $79,000.00 to $102,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
