The Nestlé Coffee Partners Solutions Lab (NCP SL) is a strategic division within the Nestlé USA organization that brings a portfolio of brands including Starbucks Coffee, Seattle’s Best Coffee and Teavana, to where our customers live, work, and play. We use this collection of products and brands to curate experiences for our customers. NCP Solutions Lab organization is looking for a Brand Marketing Associate with experience in product management and a track record of success growing business and improving returns via product portfolio management. This role will develop strategic recommendations based on robust analysis and lead critical initiatives inclusive of smallware category management and Seasonal promotion support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Management:

  • Identifies and implements initiatives to improve consumer relevance and financial delivery of existing products through cost and portfolio optimization, product performance, packaging, or price-pack architecture.
  • Drives product strategy and commercialization against operating plans and budgets by analyzing product performance vs. expectations and providing meaningful action plans to address variances in performance against the annual plan.
  • Leads regular updates on initiative performance and makes recommendations to optimize. This includes annual & monthly reviews of category performance, weekly Seasonal promotion performance, and ad-hoc analysis supporting the Category team.
  • Provides forecast planning support for Category, Supply Chain, Integrated Marketing, Commercial Development, and Demand Planning teams.
  • Leads the set-up of new products, including system input, project management, and image development.
  • Sustains a high level of relationship management with XF partners, including product & project management with Starbucks team.

Innovation:

  • Participates in cross-functional teams in the ideation, creation, and development of new products and product-related marketing opportunities from concept to commercialization.
     

Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of progressive experience in product or brand management.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a role supporting marketing, brand management, or product management and leading the development of new/existing products or strategies from conception to implementation.
  • 3-5+ years of experience influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of US military experience required
  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, MBA preferred
     

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills; consistently uses these skills to influence others and achieve goals.
  • Analytical thinker who can confidently present insights-based and financial-backed recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, working both independently and as a collaborator.
  • Solid understanding of financial planning, product forecasting, assortment planning, and inventory management.
  • Experience building trust and respect amongst peer groups. Recognizes the importance of solid relationships.
  • CPG or Foodservice experience not required but preferred.
