Position Summary

Solutions Lab is the group within Nestlé Coffee Partners that elevates coffee and tea experiences for consumers in foodservice and office coffee settings.  With our business partners, we delight consumers across many segments including hotels, resorts, universities, hospitals, offices, airlines, cruise lines, and community living.

 

The Senior Manager of Commercial Development will lead and continue to build out the Commercial Development function by working cross-functionally with stakeholders to set and drive Sales strategy and results. This leader will possess a strong understanding of the business and serve as a key voice to stakeholders.  He/she/they will use internal and external insights to guide strategy, tactics, and planning.  The role leads and develops the team that serves as the Voice of Sales and is the connection between Sales and headquarter functions including Category & Product, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance. The role translates Category Marketing plans to Sales and informs base business and innovation planning.   
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops organizational capability and modeling how we work together.
• Leads the Go-To-Market strategy to achieve all ICP (integrated commercial plan) and Sales objectives.
• Rigorously analyzes information in order to inform and update stakeholders and plans.
• Establishes a strong customer-focused approach to communicate the strategies and objectives of our key customers into the category to ensure their requirements are built into the Go-To-Market plans.
• Uses customer, category, channel/segment, and consumer insights to provide direct input into the financial plan.
• Communicates vision, strategy, and tactics to stakeholders up, down, and across the company.  
• Develops strategic and operational plans across a cross-functional team, manages execution, and measures results.
• Thinks strategically and executes with high standards of quality. 
• Develops and manages the Sales plan to ensure sufficiency to deliver annual operating plan.
• Acts as key contributor in forecasting process, representing Sales perspective.
• Develops and sustains processes to support Joint Business Plan (JBP), Request For Proposal (RFP), and Request For Information (RFI) for Sales teams.  
• Researches and analyzes the business landscape to inform situational analysis, segment strategies, long-term business planning, and innovation pipeline development.
• Prepares ad hoc analysis and participates and/or leads projects as needed.

 

Experience and Education Requirements:
• Experience directly managing teams 
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial Sales, Sales Planning, Marketing, Category, and/or other relevant function
• Experience managing and leading joint business plans with customers across multiple categories and at multiple levels 
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills 
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce, and PowerBI skills
