Position Summary
As a lighthouse for e-Commerce at Nestlé, the Nestlé Global Amazon Acceleration Team (GAAT) sits at the heart of our drive to win Amazon shoppers and at the forefront of Nestlé’s e-Commerce ambitions. The job of the GAAT is to shape Nestlé’s global end-to-end strategy, capabilities, and execution so that we can win shoppers at the speed of Amazon.
The Senior Manager of Commercial Development is foundational to Nestlé’s Global Amazon Acceleration Team. Externally, as the day-to-day lead for Nestlé’s relationship with Amazon’s Global Vendor Management team, this position is responsible for driving successful execution against our joint global initiatives. Internally, this position works directly with our businesses across the globe to ensure effective & sustainable execution against our strategic plans – from Route to Market Guidance and Portfolio decisions to Customer Negotiations and Retail tactics.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Development and Drive Execution of the Nestlé-Amazon global Joint Business Plan ("Global Strategic Framework")
• Execute and embed Amazon portfolio development roadmap with prioritized markets and businesses across Amazon existing and emerging routes to market
• Own day-to-day Amazon commercial relationship
Drive Market Execution of next generation commercial strategies and roadmaps to sustainably drive Nestlé's growth and relevance with Amazon Shoppers:
• Drive Best Practices to extend and personalize the brand experience on Amazon
• Develop best in industry generating demand capability for Nestlé Global businesses
Co-lead the transformation of ways of working for Nestlé to excel within Amazon's automated model:
• Lead development and adoption of automated digital store merchandising capabilities at scale
Lead advisement and training of local Nestlé Sales, SRM and Marketing teams
• Drive Content development for playbooks, webinars, and workshops to operationalize strategy into execution.
Lead active operational support to Markets, driving solutions to inbound queries as well as proactively identifying business opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and driving action against priorities
Lead virtual team of Customer Champions in each Market/business
• Support, facilitate and lead workshops to create new learning, step change knowledge sharing, and operationalize capabilities across Nestlé
Experience:
• 7-10 years commercial experience including direct customer management
• Extensive commercial development and/or customer management experience
• eCommerce experience required especially experience working with Amazon
• Extensive experience leading cross-functional projects
• Broad eBusiness knowledge including eRetailer marketing Management
• Track record of earning trust with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of an organization
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (15%)
Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to make sense of ambiguity, chart a course into unknown territory and influence others to follow.
• Highly developed skills to identify/create specific Best Practice, develop solution/tools and embed them
• Highly developed project management skills
• Highly developed communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Professional proficiency in English. Other languages knowledge is a plus
Ability to integrate well in multi-cultural environment
