Position Summary

To ensure timely and accurate execution of customer orders by optimizing transport operations at the Distribution Center. The role focuses on enhancing transport efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, driving cost optimization, and maintaining smooth logistics operations aligned with business needs and Nestlé standards.

A Day in the Life of...

• Ensure safety compliance across all transport operations by implementing safety standards, fleet inspection protocols, and contractual safety clauses
• Manage transport availability to support customer service levels and ensure timely order fulfillment
• Monitor and improve transport efficiency through shift-wise planning, dwell time reduction, and performance tracking
• Support the Transport Manager in planning, monitoring, and executing cost-saving initiatives within VDC operations
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI dashboards, health checks, and process optimization initiatives
• Lead and execute cost-saving projects through NCE methodologies (Inno/Renno cycles, White Belt, Green Belt projects)
• Strengthen vendor and stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth operational execution
• Develop and coach transport assistants to build a high-performing operational team
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) and quality standards, including BBC reporting
• Improve distribution infrastructure efficiency including trolley availability and inbound operations

What Will Make You Successful

Experience

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain / Logistics / Distribution
• Exposure to transport management and distribution operations
• Experience in project management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Technical, DC Operations, etc.)
