Position Summary
A day in the life of Associate Consumer Insight Specialist

• Be a thought leader in the R&D environment, to create bigger, bolder and better innovations and products. Ensure R&D-led product development matches consumer needs, and the desired product experience to align with identified business strategies and innovation roadmaps.

• Lead, support and manage consumer understanding activities for global beverage business. Understand consumer motivations, attitudes and habits towards products and deliver actionable insights to execute business strategic projects to achieve growth targets and enhance customer taste experience journey.

• Provide strong understanding of consumer and sensory preference by recommending relevant consumer-centric & sensory methodologies and running insightful analysis to the product development team. 

• Leverage on insights and macro trends analysis to drive front end innovation with global beverage business to develop concepts and bringing leapfrog solutions to the category.

• Cross functional collaboration with Strategic Business Unit, Marketing, Product Development and Sensory team. 

• Promote a consumer-centric focus within the organization by organizing ad hoc consumer understanding sessions for R&D and providing a consumer / commercial perspective in a science/ technology based environment.

 

What will make you successful
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field with demonstrated proficiency in the synthesis and integration of business, consumer and technical information into viable business solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Asian consumer behavior and the ability to translate it into concepts/ product parameters and taste segmentation.
  • Strong knowledge and good skills in both qualitative and quantitative research, ideally gained from the client’s point of view
  • Expertise in current and emergent consumer insights methods and big data analysis.
  • Demonstrated skill in leveraging insight tools to fuel business growth and open new opportunities
  • Demonstrated facilitation skill for ideation, brainstorming sessions and/or focus groups
  • Knowledge in innovation process will be added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
