Position Summary

The technician will be part of the pilot plant (PP) team:

- Planning, execution, and follow-up of operational tasks in in Product Technology Centre (PTC)/R&D.
- Working closely with specialists, project managers and experts on planning, carrying out, and following up on trials/tests in relation to innovation and renovation of products/processes/systems following personal hygiene, safety and food safety system.
- Building operational knowledge within own field, contribute to the knowledge building and sharing in PTC/R&D.
 

A day in the life of Pilot Plant Technician

OPERATIONS AND TRIALS/TESTS:
- Daily planning activities and execution of operations and trials/tests together with relevant colleagues.
- Compliance with practices and procedures defined by Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices, Nestlè Integrated Management System (Including Nestlé Quality Management System), HALAL compliance and local regulatory requirements.
- Follow up on results and participation in evaluation of results.
- Responsible for Safety, Health & Environment for yourself & other at work.
- Responsible for 5S in your nominated area, suggesting 5S improvement to team.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Aware, involved & understand the project that they are running trial for
- Present results/methods in oral form to interested parties or visitors.
- Ensure material and recipe management in NesTMS,
- Propose & involve improvement idea to his/her own line or PP in general
- Participate in structure problem solving process
PEOPLE AND KNOWHOW:
- Open to give and receive feedback
- Working toward product & process mastership by improving competency level according to personal development plan
 

What will make you successful

• Minimum NITEC and Diploma in Engineering
• Practical experience within their areas of specialty e.g. factory experience, being part of manufacturing operational teams preferably in F&B Manufacturing environment
• Ability to handle weight up to 15kg load in a non-airconditioned environment
• Experience with product manufacturing trials/tests
• Up to date knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene and environment requirements
• Minimum 2 years of R&D or/and operating/factory experience in food product category
• Continuous improving mindset and continuous learning
• Exposure working in a team to handle different projects and support activities of the organization.
• Demonstration of initiative and ability to work as a strong team player
• Working hours are during office hours Mon to Fri (OT hours may be expected at times during the week)
