The Flavor development Manager will lead the knowledge development in Savoury flavours for Nestle Food Business. You will be responsible to identify innovative ways to bring more value into our products via Flavour knowledge and you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and competitive products / technology / process systems. This resource will provide specific technical training and guidance in Savoury flavors composition.

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Implement flavours innovation ahead of competition
  • Capture, leverage and disseminate new flavours technologies and competencies across Food R&D
  • Support multiple functions (R&D/Markets/strategy) in culinary flavour related subjects, including strategy definition and implementation, flavour selection, briefing to suppliers & others
  • Development of industrial food recipes & samples for flavour evaluations
  • Guide the development of new solutions which work in our specific food matrix
  • Maintain relationship with flavour suppliers and lead strategic collaboration
  • Be informed about news/trends on-going in the flavour industry


Our Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, food engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in a Flavour company focused on Food/Savoury topics
  • Good knowledge of flavours analytical tools, sensory and consumer understanding techniques
  • Good understanding of Food legislation 
  • Self-starter, problem solver, proactive and skilled in dealing with ambiguity
  • Curios and result oriented
  • Team player
  • Ability to present and communicate complex technical topics in an easy and understandable way
  • International experience preferred
  • Fluent in English, any other language will be a plus
