A day in the life of a Food Category Engineer 

  • Innovation Expert: You bring your expertise to create, deploy, and maintain relevant category engineering knowledge on state-of-the-art and future manufacturing setups, ensuring end-to-end excellence. 
  • Leadership Driver: You drive leadership in technology and engineering mastery, delivering manufacturing excellence and setting strategic priorities with R&D Category Leads. 
  • Collaborative Implementer: You collaborate closely with our engineering network within Operations and R&D to deliver fast deployment modules and rapidly scale up innovations. 
  • Standard Bearer: You actively collaborate with Business, Operations, and Nestlé’s R&D networks to successfully deploy standards, improve processes, performance, machine safety, and competitive quality through annual benchmarking, training, and network meetings. 
  • Technology Industrializer: You industrialize technologies by implementing equipment in factories and markets, collaborating with project managers and engineers from the NPTC Food team, and monitoring potential issues. 

 

 What will make you successful 

  • Academic Foundation: After completing your master's degree in Engineering, you gained several years of experience in research and development and/or industrial engineering operations, successfully working on projects with significant impact. 
  • Innovative Developer: You have experience in the development and implementation of technologies and equipment concepts for food product lines, contributing to advancements in the industry. 
  • Problem Solver: You possess the ability to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business, showcasing your analytical and innovative thinking. 
  • Management Expertise: Engineering management experience in a factory operations environment is essential, preferably project management and/or factory engineering management, demonstrating your capability to lead teams and manage processes effectively.
