A day in the life of...

To support our Science & Technology department, we are currently looking for a Senior Protein Specialist (m/f/d) to start as of 01/06/2020.

 

  • Join our R&D teams in Europe and the US in the development of a science & technology strategy in the field of plant based meat analogues; support the execution of this strategy by securing required resources and leveraging external partnerships
  • Apply and further advance scientific knowledge on proteins to develop innovative products and technologies
    • Be part of cross-functional project teams to deliver viable technical solutions within short periods of time
    • Keep up-to-date with emerging science & technology on proteins, and use this knowledge to develop and champion new ideas
  • Provide specialist knowledge on proteins and protein processing to peers in R&D and markets, senior leaders and commercial partners
What will make you successful?
  • PhD or Master in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related field with credentials in protein science or protein processing
  • At least several years of profound industrial experience in R&D, preferably in the Food industry
  • Experience in the development of strategic plans in science & technology or product development
  • Proven track record of product or technology innovations in a related field
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams and complex environments
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to translate complex scientific findings into business opportunities
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% between Europe and the US
  • Fluent in English
