Position Summary

You are partner on project teams to lead sensory and consumer research in R&D projects and science programs to drive consumer-centricity and guide decision-making. Also key to this position is that you build and manage a network of key sensory Key Opinion Leaders both internally and externally (Universities, Flavour Houses, Agencies, etc.), to leverage new insights and ideas to build our sensory science future for our food category, including sustainability and digitalization.

A day in the life of...

•    Deliver consumer and sensory insight to Innovation and Renovation projects as an active member of cross-functional teams
•    Drive collaboration between R&D and Business partners to define strategy 
•    Advise on new methodologies and approaches where necessary  
•    Manage sensory & consumer studies with agencies such as Preference Mapping etc. 
•    Connect with internal CSI Network and external sensory communities, Universities etc. to bring Sensory Science for our food category to the next level
•    Build collaborations (via projects, MSc, or PhD activities) with Universities 
•    Attend sensory meetings and conferences and present when relevant
•    Bring sensory science digitalization and sustainability to our food category
•    Coach, support and develop other team members 
 

What will make you successful

•    Academic background in food science, food technology or similar at MSc and/or PhD level
•    Between 3-7 years of experience in Sensory science and consumer science
•    Problem solving and solution finding
•    Agility – your ability to learn new things, adapt to change and implement agile solutions  
•    Strong networking and stakeholder management skills
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills (incl. presentations)
•    Fluency in English (spoken and written)
