POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a dedicated Boilerhouse Operator to join our manufacturing team at Nestlé Smithtown. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems, supporting production needs, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Operate and monitor boiler systems and associated equipment to ensure continuous steam supply.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and records.
• Achieve the program plan and KPIs on a daily basis.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a high standard of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety requirements.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Have good mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
• Be able to demonstrate good communication skills.
• Have the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Have good time management skills.
• Have attention to detail along with a ‘can do attitude’.
• Demonstrated engagement in Key Standard Routines.
• Ability to do rotating shifts between mornings and nights

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Previous experience in boiler operation or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of boiler systems, controls, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Boiler Operator Licence) preferred.
