Laboratory Operator – Chemistry 

 

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity will suit a person with a knowledge of SAP, calibration and experience in the factory environment. You will work as part of a laboratory team in a NATA accredited environment and will be focussed on the varied analysis of food products and related ingredients.  Flexibility is required for daily changes in laboratory work.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing analyses and reporting on results
  • Sampling as required
  • Validation and calibration of analysis equipment
  • Supporting the investigation of any out of specification results
  • Assisting with sensory panels
  • Sending of Inter-laboratory samples
  • Relieving in other laboratory areas, including sensory, raw materials, pathogen and microbiological analysis
  • Laboratory continuous improvement initiatives

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

 

To be suited to the role you will:

  • A degree in food science/science will be highly regarded (People completing their studies and those with diplomas are also encouraged to apply)
  • Strong communication skills
  • An ability to multi-task and deliver repeatable accurate results
  • A strong interest in working in the Quality Assurance area
  • A culture of working in a team environment
  • The ability to be flexible and adapt at short notice

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
