This role is responsible to optimise sustained improvements in performance across the site’s manufacturing processes and line efficiencies through providing process expertise.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is an opportunity to shape the future performance of a world-class manufacturing operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical expertise to optimise manufacturing processes, line performance and operational efficiency across the factory.
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that drive productivity, quality, sustainability and cost savings.
- Building capability across the site by coaching, training and developing technical knowledge within cross-functional teams.
- Partnering with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams to successfully deliver projects, process changes and innovation initiatives.
- Supporting food safety, quality and compliance requirements while ensuring manufacturing systems and documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Analysing manufacturing performance data and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance reliability.
- Leading production trials and process improvements to optimise product quality and operational outcomes.
- Coaching operators and stakeholders to strengthen technical capability and embed best-practice manufacturing standards.
- Developing technical process documentation, flow sheets and operating parameters that support consistent manufacturing performance.
- Driving cross-functional improvement projects that deliver measurable business results and strengthen the site's competitive advantage.
What will make you successful
- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a problem-solver who enjoys turning technical challenges into practical solutions and influencing positive process changes.
- A degree in Food Technology, Applied Science, Chemistry, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally supported by exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and process optimisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience identifying and delivering operational improvement projects and cost-saving initiatives.
- Confidence communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A genuine commitment to Safety, Health, Environment, Food Safety and Quality standards.
- The ability to lead through influence, build capability in others and create lasting improvements across site operations.
