We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Specialist to join our Technical & Production team in our Smithtown factory – home to our Milo, Nesquick & NesCafe Café Menu brands. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play an active role in the continuous improvement initiatives across the site to increase productivity, product quality, and employee capability while reducing injuries and costs through the utilization of Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) tools.
 

A day in the life of...

 

You will thrive in a busy environment and enjoy exposure to a wide range of projects. Your strong ability to organise, prioritise, and multi-task will benefit you as you work on multiple projects concurrently from the beginning to end. In addition, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 
•    Lead projects & trials at factory level with focus on reliability, cost efficiency, on time delivery and product quality
•    Assist in the creation and refinement of operating standards to ensure minimum waste and zero defects; identify and recommend cost improvements and source reduction opportunities
•    Network and benchmark actively with other sites, including the Product Technical Centre in Singapore, to identify and implement best practice
•    Implementation of best practices as defined by the best-in-class repository

Are you a fit?


To be successful in the role, you will ideally have 2 years of experience within a similar role, in a food manufacturing environment with active involvement in continuous improvement activities. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Food processing, Applied Science or other relevant technical discipline is essential. Your analytical mindset and experience solving complex problems will enable you to drive plant performance and monitor inefficiencies accurately.
 
In addition, you will need to be a strong relationship builder in order to provide professional and technical support to production team while ensuring optimum manufacturing efficiencies are maintained with minimal equipment downtime. Equally important will be your ability to drive change and take people on the journey of continuous improvement through strong influencing and change management skills.
 
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
