Based at Smithtown, we’re currently seeking a Production Co-ordinator to provide invaluable support to the Production team. Also lead coach and manage a small team to excel in achieving line standards associated with production runs and the standard conditions & routines associated with Safety & the 4M's (Man, Machine, Method, Material).

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

 

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be providing administrative support to the team, co-ordinating optimal performance and promoting continuous improvement across the Factory.

 

  • Production administration and reporting of Production related Factory KPI figures Co-ordinate Production rework streams and Bin Management
  • Provide support to Production and support Departments in Kronos and payroll timekeeping
  • Manage all of the document control aspects of the Production related documents
  • Co-ordinate labour and labour rostering for the Production Team
  • Engage & develop the team to identify & prioritise loss/opportunity activities through master planning
  • Lead & Coach the team to achieve planned performance improvements (eg reliability, loss, complaints & risk )
  • Manage team skill matrices to ensure skill coverage within the team to meet business needs
  • Ensure continuous line controls & immediate corrective action (initiating problem solving as applicable).
  • Achieve a "zero injury, defect, waste" mindset & promote behaviours that have a positive impact on Safety Health Environment & Quality. Promote and manage risk awareness by engaging and coaching the teams

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

 

  • You have experience in an administration role and are adept in SAP and Microsoft Office suite
  • To be successful, you will have at least 2 years previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • You are effective in a FMCG environment and have the demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and in ambiguity. Knowledge of Food production is desirable.
  • It is essential that you will have excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.
  • You have the ability to work with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment, delivering high quality outputs with strong attention to detail and an ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • You are a strong team player and are able to work collaboratively within a team to achieve required targets and objectives.
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility are vital.


Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
