JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all Supply Chain functions at NDC- collaborating with internal/external partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and prioritizes all activities working toward supply chain excellence. Should demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work under short timelines and accommodate changing work environment.
- Lead discussions with various functional groups to constructively deal with: leveraging difficult situations, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Contribute to routine inventory accuracy (raw, finished, semi-finished, packaging materials, chemicals, supplies and shipping materials) to maintain agreed-upon levels of stock in storage areas including monitoring of shelf life.
- Support trial excellence by ensuring supply and timely availability of materials at all times, proactively working to anticipate and resolve supply/delivery issues.
- Must be able to be a resource for purchasing related duties and to ensure that all PO’s are properly tracked to their respective projects.
- Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary information and procedures are enforced
- Firm understanding of all applicable food safety and quality guidelines and regulation; obtaining all pertinent information required for incoming goods.
- Support drive towards knowledge-capture & re-use, facilitate day to day problem solving activities through coaching and lead operational reviews when required.
- Contribute to standard Ways of Working through group discussions and focus groups; actively engaging in sustainability, risk assessments and audits.
- Oversee a tracking system to monitor and reduce raw material waste, ensuring sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the finance department to accurately process and record Goods Receipt for all invoices
- Coordinate and schedule dedicated trucks for transportation of goods from factories and suppliers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
- A.S or B.S degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 4 or more years of working in procurement, warehousing or food manufacturing environments.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work in extreme temperatures in an industrial environment.
- Have a baseline understanding of mathematics (multiplication, division, averages, and percentage calculations)
- Computer skills – Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Travel as required 5%
- Excellent communicator – verbal and written
