The Coordinator, Building Operations & Maintenance is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair activities across the Nestlé Solon corporate campus. This role ensures building systems and infrastructure—including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting—operate at optimal levels to maintain a safe, functional, and comfortable working environment. The position also supports on-site design and construction projects by providing technical expertise and knowledge of local building systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance or repair needs.

• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.

• Operate and maintain HVAC computerized control systems to support effective climate control.

• Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems, including replacement and repair activities.

• Complete general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, flooring, electrical work, and plumbing repairs.

• Maintain the exterior condition of buildings and campus grounds.

• Track and manage maintenance records, tools, equipment, and supply inventories.

• Perform workplace adjustments, including physical furniture and equipment moves across the campus.

• Respond to and complete service requests through the Archibus system in a timely and professional manner.

• Comply with all OSHA regulations and Nestlé safety standards during all work activities.

• Support local design and construction projects, including on-site assistance as required.

• Maintain high housekeeping standards, ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and free from safety hazards at all times.

• Be available to work weekends and/or overtime as operational needs require.

• Availability of working weekends and or overtime as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma required

• Trade school certification or a minimum of two years of experience in building maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Experience operating scissor lifts and working comfortably at heights.

• CPR certification.

• HVAC certification

 

Skills:

 

• Strong teamwork orientation with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

• Self-motivated with effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.

• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
