Consultant, Business Optimization - Supply Planning

Main Purpose of the Job:

The Consultant, Business Optimization - Supply Planning shapes the future of Supply Planning by translating functional strategy into practical process, capability, data, and technology improvements. This role connects planners and leaders, turns complex priorities into clear milestones, and drives alignment, communication, adoption, and measurable business results.

Key Outputs / Deliverables:

• Facilitates and maintains the future-state vision and capability roadmap for Supply Planning
• Translates business priorities and planner pain points into clear, prioritized initiatives
• Breaks complex initiatives into defined workstreams, milestones, owners, risks, decisions, and success measures
• Leads cross-functional initiative planning, execution, testing, implementation, stabilization, and post-launch review
• Connects individual projects to the broader Supply Planning roadmap and business outcomes
• Serves as the two-way communication bridge between planners and functional leaders
• Explains what is changing, why it matters, and how success will be measured
• Synthesizes planner feedback, constraints, and adoption risks into decision-ready leadership insights
• Facilitates workshops, working sessions, functional forums, and leadership updates that drive decisions and action
• Leads ongoing optimization of Supply Planning processes, tools, routines, roles, and organizational interfaces
• Defines and maintains standard methodologies, Standard Routines, SOPs, governance, scorecards, and Business Continuity Plans
• Performs business requirement analysis and represents Supply Planning processes and needs to IT and enabling functions
• Monitors process adoption, system utilization, and performance to identify improvement opportunities
• Builds onboarding, learning, competency, and change plans that strengthen functional capability and sustain adoption
• Indirectly leads functional experts and Super Users to embed standards and reduce dependency on individual knowledge
• Delivers productivity and business value through innovation, process improvement, and disciplined initiative execution

• Delivery of initiative milestones and expected business outcomes
• Adoption and sustained use of new processes, tools, and routines
• Improvement in Supply Planning effectiveness, consistency, and decision quality
• Reduction in manual work, process complexity, and avoidable planner effort
• Planner and leader understanding of functional priorities and initiatives
• Execution of capability, productivity, and continuous improvement commitments
• Customer Order Fulfillment and other relevant Supply Planning outcomes
• Successful transition of initiatives into stable functional ownership

Qualifications / Certifications:

• Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Supply Planning processes, decisions, and cross-functional dependencies
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through adoption
• Ability to turn ambiguous objectives into structured workstreams, milestones, deliverables, and decisions
• Strong facilitation skills across future-state design, prioritization, problem solving, and decision making
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills across planner, technical, and leadership audiences
• Ability to influence without authority, build partnerships, and work effectively across organizational levels
• Strong project organization, change leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other continuous improvement methods desired
• Experience with SAP, BW, Power BI, and OMP Unison Planning desired
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively through ambiguity
• Availability for travel and work beyond regularly scheduled hours as needed

Critical Experiences:

• Led a complex Supply Planning transformation, process improvement, or technology-enabled initiative
• Facilitated development of a future-state process, capability, roadmap, or operating model
• Translated leadership strategy into practical work for planners or operational teams
• Converted front-line feedback into concise recommendations and decisions for leaders
• Broken a large initiative into manageable phases and measurable milestones
• Led cross-functional teams and influenced outcomes without direct authority
• Moved an initiative from concept through implementation, adoption, and sustainable ownership

Salary: $103,306.50 to $147,628.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
