Position Summary:
The Director of Brand Marketing leads a team dedicated to delivering robust Starbucks brand experiences across a spectrum of premium branded platforms including Starbucks Frappuccino, Starbucks Refreshers and Teavana Tea driving compelling, insight led B2B and B2C strategies and sales engagement.

 

The team drives the development, management and deployment of insight led brand and product programming strategies, B2B & B2C marketing strategies and promotional plans including communications and training assets. Additionally, the team is responsible for innovation & renovation efforts, deployment of sound portfolio management principals and aid guiding effective business planning of forecasting/supply to stay ahead of consumers and the marketplace.

 

The role is accountable to ensure that developed strategies win with our customers and consumers and collaborates effectively cross-functionally with both internally and external partners.  The role guides agency partner relationships and ensure the best in class process and creative is developed.  

 

This role will be in our Seattle, WA office and requires a hybrid schedule mix of in office/work from home. 

 

Core Responsibilities:
•    Key Measures of Success: Achievement of Sales performance KPIs including topline, margin & profitability targets.  Enhancing portfolio, category and product performance ensuring effective marketing and presence of programs and proposition.  Influences the development of strategic plans to drive demand and conversion through a national and regional field team structure.
•    Leads the development of strategic category and product plans to drive demand and conversion partnering with cross-functional teams to maximize effectiveness.  Drives and maintain effective performance and balance of topline sales with eye on value impact risks (waste, margin erosion) effectively deploying initiatives to optimize the portfolio.
•    Ensure strong financial acumen and transparency of marketing and product investments.
•    Lead relevant agency reviews, assessments, and optimization to maximize investment and output.
•    Lead product and marketing team development and performance culture to; build functional capability, foster collaboration, team work and performance excellence to ultimately export talent to the broader organization.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE + SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree required.  Master’s degree preferred
•    5+ years of product management, commercialization experience 
•    8+ years of experience in B2B/B2C Marketing
•    8+ years of experience leading teams; Demonstrated experience building and developing teams
•    Strong analytic and data-driven acumen and ability to influence and bring along organization.
•    Outstanding communication skills.
•    Experience running external agencies with understanding and experience influencing and inspiring creative development
•    Deep understanding of focus retailers and their go-to-market strategies and capabilities
•    Experience/exposure to corporate planning, supply chain and forecasting a plus

The approximate pay range for this position is $185,000 to $215,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
