POSITION SUMMARY

 

This role supports financial governance, compliance, spend visibility, vendor accountability, and operational controls across logistics and transportation programs. This role provides analytical support, business partnership, and process leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement across supply chain operations.

The Analyst is responsible for delivering timely, data-driven analysis and actionable recommendations that improve business performance, enhance financial governance, optimize vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements. This position partners closely with Finance business partners, Procurement, Logistics Operations, Accounts Payable, and external service providers to resolve issues, drive accountability, and implement sustainable solutions.

The individual must be able to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while influencing stakeholders, leading process improvements, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role offers opportunities to participate in strategic initiatives, improve business processes, strengthen governance frameworks, and contribute to long-term operational and financial objectives.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Analyze operational and financial issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy, compliance, and performance.
  • Ensure accurate vendor payments, accruals, reconciliations, and cost allocations in accordance with contractual terms and company policies.
  • Maintain governance frameworks, financial controls, and compliance requirements across logistics and transportation programs.
  • Monitor vendor performance, account health, spend trends, key performance indicators, and compliance metrics; identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop reporting, analytics, and insights that support business decisions and improve visibility to spend and operational performance.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Logistics Operations, Accounts Payable, and external vendors to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen controls.
  • Maintain process documentation, reporting tools, standard operating procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Support strategic projects and transformation initiatives focused on cost savings, governance enhancements, operational excellence, and supply chain optimization.
  • Support period-end close activities, audits, and management reporting while providing guidance to business partners on financial controls and compliance requirements.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in Operations Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Logistics, Transportation, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Compliance, Vendor Management, or related disciplines preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills with experience performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to drive alignment and support change.
  • Experience interpreting financial data, operational metrics, and performance trends to support business decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with reporting, analytics, and financial systems.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies, automation tools, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy, compliance, and governance.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while balancing operational execution and strategic priorities.
