Position Summary
Position Description:
- The Financial Analyst gathers and interprets financial information effectively and forms data into meaningful and concise analyses. In addition, the Financial Analyst identifies areas for change and makes recommendations.
- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
- At this level, the analyst continues to develop their financial and technical skills and interacts with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
- The Financial Analyst exercises good judgement, stays focused on results, and ensures integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- This role provides reporting and analysis on fixed manufacturing costs. Acts as a change agent to drive standardization of processes and development of reporting tools supporting the Business Unit Leads, Decision Support teams, and Technical and Production Leadership.
- The Financial Analyst must have the ability to communicate with multiple customers including Factory Finance Personnel, other T&P Finance team members, Division and Brand Co-Pilots, and other T&P Functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare period-end reporting to support and analyze fixed manufacturing costs
- Support the creation of Factory Operational Budgets and Dynamic Forecasts. Coordinate analysis and presentation of results in a consistent format across all factories
- Prepare standardized and ad hoc operational financial performance reports supporting analysis of factory financial performance
- Prepare and provide visibility Technical & Production cost center reporting including explanation of Budget/DF vs Actual variances
- Work on ad hoc projects related to standardization of reporting or increasing efficiencies
Skills:
- Knowledge of the principles of cost accounting and activity-base costing
- Exhibit analytical skills and solves problems; synthesize information from disparate sources to deliver comprehensive and actionable analysis
- Manage/organize time, information and resources effectively in order to meet deadlines and respond to requests on a timely basis
- Clearly and effectively communicate with others in written and verbal form
- Work effectively within a team environment and take initiative
- Challenges current status and shows how things can be improved
- Computer skills: MS Windows, including intermediate Excel and Word, PowerPoint; SAP (or the equivalent) experience
Requirements:
- BA/BS with Major or Minor in Accounting or Finance, or BA/BS Degrees with coursework up to and including Intermediate Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience in Accounting/Finance
- Preferred: 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment
