POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Director of Learning & Development for the NUSA One Operations team and is responsible for building change management capabilities across both field and corporate teams. The L&D Change Manager will lead the integration of organizational change management practices to support ongoing transformational initiatives and critical HR programs within Operations. Success in this role requires the ability to build credibility and foster strong partnerships with business and HR stakeholders across One Operations. By applying effective coaching techniques, the Change Manager will support leaders in effectively navigating change and acting as change sponsors while also helping ensure all employees adopt to the Culture, Priorities and Behaviors required to achieve the operations strategy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and Drive Change Capability Strategy
- Design and lead the execution of a comprehensive change management capability-building strategy across NUSA One Operations, focusing on key areas such as sponsorship and people leader capabilities
- Coach One Operations Change Management Network
- Provide coaching and guidance to One Operations Change Network to ensure consistent application of change management principles and provide consistent tools, methodologies, and language across functional and operational initiatives. Works in collaboration with the Business Transformation Office on aligned tools and methodologies.
- Support Leadership Coaching and Mentorship
- Partner with senior leaders to build change leadership capabilities through targeted coaching and mentorship, enabling them to lead effectively through transformation. Help inform leadership strategy and development planning for senior leaders in operations.
- Lead Change for Strategic Initiatives
- Serve as the lead change manager for high-impact projects aligned with One Operations’ Must Win Battles, particularly within HR and Learning & Development. Project Examples: Digital People Enablement, Hourly Onboarding Rollout
- Define and Coach Project Leads on Change KPIs
- Establish clear success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of change across L&D initiatives. Supporting monitoring progress through regular assessments and data analysis to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Prioritize for Impact
- Evaluate and prioritize change efforts based on organizational impact, resource availability, and alignment with strategic objectives to ensure focus on the most critical initiatives. Assess Change Maturity and provide agile solutions to highest impact projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate Learning and Connect beyond One Operations
- Design and facilitate workshops and training sessions, lead discussions to identify improvement opportunities, and maintain a repository of best practices and lessons learned to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organization.
SKILLS:
- Demonstrated ability to quickly interpret data to understand the implications of various Change Management scenarios. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making, anticipate challenges, and develop effective strategies to manage change
- Possess knowledge and curiosity to leverage digital tools, including AI, to support change management initiatives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in active listening and powerful questioning techniques to uncover insights and drive meaningful conversations.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.
- Ability to organize time, information, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and respond to requests on a timely basis
- In-depth knowledge of Change Management methodologies and tools for projects of varying scope and scale
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic, changing environment and create a human-centered vision for Change
- Ability to distill highly complex and technical issues into simplified concepts to achieve common understanding and alignment across stakeholder groups
- Skilled in anticipating future issues and addressing them proactively to minimize or prevent impact
- Ability to negotiate with and influence others effectively
- Willingness to partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive business results and meet deliverables
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to work from a blank slate and inspire others
- Ability to handle highly confidential HR information in a professional manner
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Bachelor's degree with a preferred emphasis in Change Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Communications, or Learning, or equivalent experience required; equivalent experience defined as at least 5 years of relevant, professional level working experience (see details below)
- Formal training or certification in change management (e.g. Prosci Certification)
- 7+ years of experience in a Change Management, Organizational Transformation, Strategic Communication or closely related role or equivalent education
- (Preferred but not required) Experience working with HR professionals
- (Preferred but not required) Certification in coaching (e.g. Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certification, ICF Certification).
