Position Summary
The Finished Goods Master Data Senior Manager will ensure trust in data by establishing and operationalizing a cohesive master data management strategy and will drive execution by eliminating business silos, establishing standards and processes for data governance, and implementing measures to manage the quality of our data. This individual will work closely with the business to understand business process gaps due to finished goods master data and will develop cross-functional alignment to define data standards and govern master data and their respective attributes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a data-driven change agent and advocate, listening to opportunities from business partners and persuading and influencing the organization at all levels
Define and own master data management strategy.
Lead the transformation of our finished goods master data processes, systems and governance.
Active member of centralized MD governance committee at global and regional level.
Lead local level, cross functional MD governance committee.
Identify risks and drive continuous improvements in data management through technological innovation, operational improvement, and championing adoption.
Serve as trusted advisor to supply chain leadership for matters relating to technology and master data.
Understanding of end-to-end flow, including all cross functional connections and inputs with ability to articulate the flow clearly and succinctly to all levels of the organization.
Establish and operationalize an aligned operating model by building effective partnerships with the divisions and operating companies and embed clear roles & responsibilities closely to the business.
Establish and implement master data management capabilities and best practices aligned with the business as well as with digital transformation and data & analytics goals and priorities.
Understand the technology landscape of transactional systems, data management and master data layer and their impact on analytics and consuming applications.
Leverage effective relationship building among business partners to solicit insights and feedback, understand data needs, data dependencies and identify opportunities for business process standardization.
Ensure the uniformity, accuracy, and semantic consistency of the companies official, shared Finished Goods MD assets
Identify and implement workflow, automation and health check tools leading to faster product introductions, greater business agility and improved end to end processes.
Create and maintain Finished Goods Master Data documentation and training, including function specific variants. Documentation to include ownership of specific fields and the transactions they impact.
Identify existing gaps or control weaknesses with master data processes and track issues, while providing subject matter expertise in support of remediation
Lead team responsible for finished goods master data quality monitoring, improvement and issue resolution, ensuring high employee engagement and managing staff career progression.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in any of the following disciplines/technologies is an advantage: data and analytics solutions, metadata management solutions, data governance, stewardship, data categorization taxonomy and ontology models, data classification, data integration
Demonstrated knowledge of business driving technology solutions and internal/external industry insights and trends preferred.
10+ years of experience in SC, GLOBE/IT, Master Data preferred. 5 + Years of people leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, SC, IT or related field required. MBA or additional certifications (green belt) preferred
