Position Summary

The Nestlé Professional Ensuring Supply Senior Financial Analyst Co-Pilot role provides support to the planning and controlling of cost of sold, manufacturing, transfer price and distribution costs. The role conducts financial analysis for the business and provides relevant information for decision making. This role requires strong collaboration and partnering with multiple stakeholders including Dedicated and Shared Factory Controllers and Shared Service Finance Business Partners (Costing Center of Competence (CoC), Contract Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a smooth Period End Close (PEC) processing by performing regular health checks and anticipating any cost related issues. 
  • Provide analysis of actuals vs DF and LY. Prepare dashboard with costing information. Support business with ad hoc analysis. 
  • Liase with CoC and Contract Manufacturing to ensure correct costing calculations. Analyze and report on variances to DF and LY.
  • Key contributor to the Monthly Business Planning and Dynamic Forecast for the business providing clear insight on Total Delivered Cost (TDC) evolution; identify opportunities and risks; collaborate with Category Controlling, Manufacturing Controlling, and Financial Planning & Reporting team.
  • Be the business expert on costing standards and SAP tools (CSM,CSD,TP). Ensure that costing standards are applied and correct allocation of costs at all times.
  • Support new business initiatives and business models with cost of production estimates
  • Provides analysis and insight on key performance indicators along with recommendations to guide management decisions. 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement leads to ensure Total Delivered Cost at targeted value.
  • Develop and implement financial and operational processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial objectives.
  • Perform and distribute monthly reports by category within Operations business includes financials KPIs.
  • Provide visibility of Product Related Other (PRO) Budget/DF vs Actuals to Ops Controller and Division.  Requires interaction/relationship with Technical Application Group (TAG) & factories
  • Analyze and prepare journal entry for monthly inventory reserve. Prepare waste reporting. Work with cross-functional teams providing recommendations for reduction of waste.
  • Work with Procurement team to understand and report out key commodity changes and impact on conversion cost.

REQUIREMEMENTS / EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS with major in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred. CPA, CMA, CIA or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably operations environment.
  • SAP experience preferred; strong modeling skills required.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to influence decisions and drive decision-making in alignment with business objectives.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; both oral and written.
  • Advanced experience applying financial accounting standards.
  • Advanced level of financial reporting and comprehension to interpret results and driving factors.
  • Advanced technical skills and financial modeling (Advanced Microsoft Excel, Advanced Microsoft Access PowerPoint).
