Job Summary: The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in a culinary environment. This position primarily involves washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with light cleaning duties to ensure a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $13-15/hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.

Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday (21 hours/week)

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand.
2. Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored appropriately.
3. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dish room, and all countertops.
4. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, such as ovens, microwaves and sinks following established procedures.
5. Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
6. Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
7. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of dishes and utensils during busy periods.
8. Follow instructions from supervisors and complete tasks in a timely manner.
9. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2. Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is an asset.
3. Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a culinary environment.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.
6. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
