JOB SUMMARY: Design and implement proprietary packaging solutions for the frozen product category.  Utilize effective leadership and extensive expertise in packaging to guide the research and development strategy for the frozen product category.   Achieve consumer satisfaction by creating distinctive and competitive packaging solutions to create lasting impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Packaging and Food Innovation/Renewal (I/R) Roadmaps: Define and provide strategic input to the development of Packaging and Food I/R roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Technology Scouting: Identify and capture state-of-the-art packaging technologies to support innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the frozen product category.
  • External Collaboration and Relationship Management: Develop, build, and maintain strong collaborations with key external partners and suppliers to drive packaging innovative initiatives.
  • Technical Project Leadership: Lead highly technical and complex projects and initiatives, working closely and collaboratively with Nestlé TAG Units when appropriate to ensure project success.
  • Proprietary Packaging Development: Drive the development and launch of proprietary packaging solutions that distinguish Nestlé’s frozen products in the market.
  • Chore-Team Participation: Actively participate as a core-team member within Packaging Platforms when relevant, contributing expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology/Science/Engineering or related subject
  • Knowledge in rigid packaging (plastic and paper) and packaging analytics
  • Project management is a plus.
  • Recognized expertise across and outside the company
  • Industry experience within packaging: minimum 5 years

SKILLS:

  • Effectively collaborates and influences people at all levels in the organization through strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

  • Flexibility and adaptability to perform in a high-volume, fast-paced and dynamic environment

 

  • Quick sifting abilities (focuses project team and stakeholders on the top priorities – can focus on high level and detail level, knowing which is appropriate)

 

  • Ability to effectively challenge the status quo, self-direct and manage ambiguity to drive business impactful disruption

 

  • Self-motivated and extremely agile with change
