Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the end-to-end planning and managing of projects and programs for Nestlé USA’s Finance and Control (F&C) organization.  Projects will be primarily focused on driving value creation through strategic business transformation initiatives of high complexity and ambiguity. You will apply your project management expertise, leadership skills and finance subject-matter knowledge to lead cross-functional teams to deliver agreed project success criteria and business case. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with the ability to think strategically and execute on a vision while managing the details and delivering results. As a member of the Business Transformation Office (BTO) team you will actively support the achievement of our vision: accelerating enterprise transformation delivery to enable Nestlé to win faster in the marketplace.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide end-to-end management of assigned projects and programs from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the project
Lead the definition, documentation, approval and communication of project objectives, scope and key success criteria in partnership with project sponsor, leveraging existing or establishing new governance structures
Work with finance co-pilot to develop business cases, determine and manage project estimates and budgets as well as recommend sourcing decisions for project resources, including internal and external staffing requirements 
Define the project team, work with functional line managers to identify and secure resources, with procurement to develop and administer requests for proposal (RFPs) and support the vendor selection process
Build and manage the project schedule, define the critical path, track activities and hold project team members accountable for accomplishing agreed deliverables and timing
Drive proactive opportunity and risk management and the resolution of issues, escalating to key stakeholders when necessary
Understand and support the development of a change management strategy and communication plan to achieve project’s change objectives
Control project scope and plan; identify change requests, evaluate change impact, and obtain approval/rejection in accordance with agreed change processes; communicate outcomes accordingly
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings including kick-off meetings, check-in meetings, risk assessments, post launch reviews and additional meetings or workshops as required
Ensure timely and accurate entry and maintenance of project data according to defined program/portfolio management routines (e.g., portfolio review meetings) and tools (e.g., project portfolio management application)
Lead and/or actively contribute to capability development projects within the BTO team and the larger F&C organization.
Provide coaching and training in project management, leadership and/or finance subject-matter
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field required; MBA preferred 
Formal training/certification in project management required, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex business transformation initiatives, including successfully managing multiple functional and technical projects in a fast-paced environment
Functional experience in Finance & Control, experience in accounting/controlling a plus
Project Portfolio Management(PPM) and project scheduling software proficiency (MS Project, Smartsheet, QuickBase)
