JOB SUMMARY: The Site guardian of food safety and compliance and the challenger of all functions to continuously improve in the pursuit of zero defects as the essential base for maintaining customer satisfaction and earning consumer trust and preference.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain competencies, quality awareness, and commitment to zero defects in the Site.
- Steward the design, management, enforcement and maintenance of the Nestlé Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSSC 22000; ISO 9001).
- Instill a Quality and Food Safety mindset and culture throughout Site Operations functions and broader NDC Teams while facilitating agile and dynamic risk management programs enabling I&R development activities and ensuring supply on key business priorities. Ability to autonomously navigate challenges using risk assessment and decision-making skills to support agility and acceleration in innovation while assuring food safety and compliance.
- Lead and develop a team to provide key technical support to R&D and internal business partner projects, such as pilot plant process validations, shelf-life studies, cooking validations, etc.
- Manage the internal auditing program, assessing the performance of the quality system, reporting its effectiveness to management and proposing actions for improvement. Coordinate external audits (ISO 9001 & FSSC 22000), including integration with SHE standards (ISO 14001 & 45001).
- Manage registrations and inspection with applicable regulatory bodies (ODA, FDA and USDA) as well as other relevant external certifications.
- Champion collaboration across NPTC Foods and the broader Nestle Quality network to unlock improvement opportunities, drive efficiencies, and grow food safety culture.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
- BSc degree (preferred microbiology, chemistry or food science)
- Demonstrated capability to lead a group
- Management exposure across several functions
- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams
- Leadership and people development skills
- English language and preferably local language written and spoken
- Able to set priorities and delegate activities
