POSITION SUMMARY

Treasury, Risk & Investments North America (TRINA) is responsible for the investment strategy and investment manager oversight for retirement assets and liabilities of operating companies throughout Nestlé Zone North America, ensuring that investments are managed consistently with the overall Nestlé Group strategy. TRINA services other Nestlé groups in shared service arrangements and works cooperatively to provide expertise to the operating companies, as well as partners with the Group Pensions Unit (GPU) in the Centre. The Retirement Investments Analyst performs activities that provide operational and decision-making support to the VP and Managers.

 

This position will service both the Nestlé in the USA Pension and Savings plan and Foundations as well as provide support to Canada and Puerto Rico. The Analyst will coordinate the timely delivery of investment performance and project status reports and implement asset transactions and rebalancing. The scope of the job also includes responsibility for the processing of invoices for savings, pensions, COLIs, GBA and RINA. The analyst will take corrective actions to ensure data integrity, perform transactional activities (such as cash management) and contribute to financial processes such as tax, audit and accounting tasks.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and verify performance reports produced by our different partners; produce and/or analyze our different performance attribution reports.
  • Compile the reporting package for Investment Committee and Board meetings (including Canada)
  • Initiate, monitor, and reconcile investment transactions; process and reconcile invoices, and handle administrative tasks related to the Trusts chargebacks.
  • Manage daily cash projections and movements; reconcile and resolve discrepancies, act as daily point person with trustee/custodian for the Pension and Savings Trust.
  • Track and report on project status for the various projects run by the Retirement Investments team.
  • Work with HR in managing Retirement Investments communication and publication of investment education materials for savings plans participants; implement approved changes to investment fund line-up or underlying investment managers.
  • Support the Finance & Control Manager in accounting, tax, and regulatory related activities (e.g. corporate and plan audit, 5500 forms) for pension, savings, and non-qualified plans, as well as foundations.
  • Monitor the plans risks as per the defined risk assessments.
  • Present results to Managers, VP, and other high-level executives throughout the company.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration preferably in Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance or in an investment-related field, which may include portfolio management, investment consulting, performance measurement analytics, and/or retirement trust administration.
  • Understanding of retirement investments and the benefit programs that they support.

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills.
  • Good planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter, autonomous, and able to deal with tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability in teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Well-versed in performance measurement and analytics.
