Position Summary
1. Leading a Team of Category Engineers and Automation Specialists in the field of Chilled & Frozen Meals, Pizza & Snacking as well Plant Based Meal Solutions.
2. Responsible as PBMS Category Engineer
3. Drive standardization and support Manufacturing Excellence
4. Establish and deploy Maintenance Strategies
5. Provide & transfer knowledge, expertise, technologies, and best practices to support projects and deployment of new technologies, maximizing the benefits of Nestlé know-how and technical resources across the frozen/chilled business.
6. Subject Matter Expert for engineering related to PBMS.
7. Lead or support benchmarking, networks, innovation & improvement & activities, develop and improve Equipment and Operations Standards, and provides technical assistance to the markets.
8. Set strategy, coordinate, and interact with key suppliers and internal customers on identifying the right machines and/or lines for the right applications.
9. Lead people competency development in the field of engineering through training, mentoring and/or coaching and establish Factory Engineering network within the culinary category.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEAD & SUPPORT TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT PROJECTS
• Lead & coordinate the effective & efficient deployment of new technologies.
• Lead & coordinate development of new technologies and processes to ensure competitive advantages by technology leadership
SUPPORT FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN THE MARKET
• Provide technical expertise in support of market led capital projects to ensure smooth start-ups of new factories and new lines. Assure ‘going to 0’ by design, with proper data collection and analysis, process capability studies, etc.
SUPPORT MANUFACTURING with TROUBLESHOOTING
• Establish best practice guidance & solutions to factories
• Be the focal point within R&D for the operations engineering community
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
• MSc or equivalent degree from a (Technical) University, preferably in Process, Packaging, Mechanics or Automation
• 10 years’ successful experience in factory environment including Factory Engineering Management responsibility in Nestle’ or other leading food companies
• Proven experience in successful execution of major Investment projects is a pre-requisite
• Collaborate with others to make a difference
• Logical thinker that can analyze cause & effect
• Organized, able to manage complex projects and recognize when to ask for support.
• Able to drive multi discipline and multi-location project/working groups.
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Coaching skills put to everyday use
• Able to transfer knowledge (training, coaching, mentoring)
• Able to convince scientific and non-scientific audiences and discuss with clients.
