JOB SUMMARY:
The Sensory Technician is responsible for the coordination, organization and maintenance of the sensory lab, administrating sensory samples and panel sessions, and supporting sensory training activities. The Sensory Technician creates a safe and efficient environment for sensory test completion.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Support for Sensory Laboratory Operations
- Follow and promote good laboratory practices and safe laboratory behaviors, ensuring compliance with relevant Nestlé standards, documentation, and other local requirements.
- Support the implementation of maintenance plans to ensure sensory equipment and facilities are clean, organized, operational, and properly managed.
- Maintain inventory of samples and sensory laboratory materials.
- Assist with the coordination and procurement (online or in person) of samples and sensory supplies to support laboratory operations.
- Assist in the revision and maintenance of documentation related to sensory laboratory procedures, processes, and best practices.
- Support the implementation of equipment calibration programs.
- Ensure efficient use of sensory laboratory resources and materials.
- Contribute ideas and support initiatives aimed at improving sensory laboratory operations and ways of working.
Support Sensory Tests & Trainings
- Manage safe sensory product reception, storage, inventory, traceability, and disposal in collaboration with clients and laboratory staff.
- Assist in setting up sensory studies using sensory software.
- Ensure sensory testing rooms are fully equipped to conduct sensory calibration and testing sessions.
- Be responsible for sample preparation and serving following structured protocols, contributing to the collection of high-quality sensory data.
- Work collaboratively with panelists and sensory staff before, during, and after sensory studies to ensure smooth study execution.
- Manage changes during panel sessions effectively and efficiently.
- Assist sensory tasters with supply or IT needs during testing sessions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of sensory training materials, references, and standards.
- Support the execution of sensory training activities for employees and other stakeholders.
Support Sensory Panel Management
- Support panelist recruitment sessions in collaboration with sensory team and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with onboarding activities for new sensory panelists, including workplace, system, and equipment setup.
- Support tracking of contractor time and utilization to ensure availability of panel resources.
- Prepare resource utilization and activity reports as required.
- Assist planning and scheduling of sensory panel session to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
- High School degree required, technical training preferred
- Experience in laboratory is preferred either in a classroom or work environment
- Strong computer skills. Software knowledge: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. EyeQuestion is a plus.
- Strong change management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Flexible work hours, as required by the business
- An inclusive individual with a collaborative attitude, who enjoys working with, learning from and sharing knowledge with others.
- Strong track record for effectively following instructions systematically

Salary: $47,054.70 to $63,585.00 per year
Bonus Eligibility: Yes
The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
