Position Summary

As Software Engineer for NP-USA he/she will play a pivotal role in supporting advanced technical issues with commercial applications, data warehouse solution (NP-Edge) and reporting platform (PowerBI). He/she will actively participate in discussion for design and implementation of technical solutions, design and build custom solution for automation and monetization initiatives.

The Software Engineer will report into the Technical Systems and Data Manager and will work closely with the Systems and Data team, Exceedra, SAP Master Data, IS/IT, SalesOps, Trade and Finance teams to provide technical and analytical support needed for NP-US End-to-End platform. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in software design and development for both front-end and back-end platforms, data management, understanding of SAP Master data structures, critical & strategical thinking, time management, cross-functional collaboration and experience working with high-performing teams. Understanding of trade and finance processes is preferred.

 

This role will be responsible for 3 primary objectives:

 

Advanced Technical Support of Commercial Applications

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues with commercial applications
  • Provide technical support and consultation on End-To-End platform
  • Support ISIT/Systems initiatives
  • Actively participate in requirements gathering, design and development of ISIT initiatives at NP-USA
  • Provide technical support post go-live
  • Automation & Monetization
  • Design, develop and support commercial applications for NP-USA
  • Automate processes and create efficiencies using software development, AI & Machine Learning

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • MS in Computer Science or Data Science

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7 years of working experience of SQL Server with emphasis on writing advanced SQL queries, views and stored procedures
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience of C#, ASP.NET, R, Python programming
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience of software development tools like Visual Studio
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Experience with the software development including implementing designs and validating implementations against the original requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, and source-code versioning systems
  • Strong computer science knowledge, including software design patterns
  • Working knowledge of SAP Data & Structure
  • Working knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Trade Planning & Management Platforms preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of Foodservice Industry preferred but not required

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong technical skills, especially working with SQL and ASP.NET.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio, Excel, Access, PowerBI
  • Team first attitude.
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent follow-up.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Perform liaison function between departments.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with sense of urgency
