POSITION SUMMARY: 

Do you possess a digital mindset and deeply understand how analytics can support and drive the digital agenda, seeing the big picture and playing a key role in digital transformation? Look no further!  

 

In this role, you will leverage your strategic mindset and leadership competencies to drive the technology and analytics agenda for Nestlé that addresses challenges, capitalizes on opportunities, and enables a leading-edge function. The role is responsible for realizing the expected business value of all analytics investments. You will drive the technology development lifecycle, ensuring stakeholder alignment and satisfaction. You will oversee the analytics integration for the Procurement function and manage the team delivering on the analytics roadmap. Additionally, you will be expected to keep a pulse on the latest and greatest in the field, researching innovations, collecting industry best practices, and observing trends.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Establish Procurement analytics strategies that are fit for purpose, today and tomorrow: 

  • Ensure that analytics strategies are aligned with the overall digital agenda. Ability to understand the broader context and effectively integrate analytics with digital strategies to facilitate transformation. 

  • Co-lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. 

  • Oversee full development lifecycle, ensuring quality through testing, monitoring, and user adoption. 

  • Guide developers from initial use case to experimental design, industrialization and implementation to end users. 

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project forecasting, progress tracking, implementation processes, and overall outcomes.  

Manage alignment process between the Procurement Analytics team and Procurement Leaders: 

  • Develop a deep understanding of stakeholder requirements to effectively prioritize projects, allocate resources, and provide clear direction to project owners. 

  • Drive critical conversations around Procurement capabilities from an analytics standpoint, generating innovative ideas and ensuring that Procurement Leaders are updated on current offerings and ongoing initiatives 

Serve as a People Manager: 

  • Inspire and motivate direct reports to take calculated risks, challenge the status quo, and improve performance. 

  • Take pride in successfully leading and coaching direct reports, offering constructive, candid, and timely feedback. 

  • Delegate responsibilities with a focus on creating opportunities for employees to gain critical skills and experience professional growth. 

  • Provide on-going mentoring to improve bench strength competences and succession plans. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Measurements/Performance Indicators: 

  • Delivering successful solutions to end users in quality, on time, which includes initiating, planning, and executing projects, while also tracking, managing dependencies, predicting, and mitigating risks. It also requires establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. 

  • You should chase opportunities to innovate and have a pulse on industry trends. This requires understanding the impact of external forces on Procurement, other key functional groups, and the business. 

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
EDUCATION: 

•    Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, or Supply Chain Management required.
•    Master’s degree preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:   

  • Minimum 10+ years in analytical capacity building automated solutions 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling 

  • Advanced experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI (and the rest of the Microsoft Power Stack: PowerAutomate, Power Apps) and Tableau, etc.  

  • Experience with advanced programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, Java 

  • Experience leading day-to-performance and career growth for multiple direct reports 

  • Purchasing experience or demonstrated leadership experience in a related operational field such as Manufacturing, Logistics, or Technical 

  • Experience with global procurement and sourcing processes preferred
