Position Summary:

 

As a member of the Workplace Solutions (WPS) team, you will be part of the team that delivers spaces and experiences that help our employees thrive.  Workplace Solutions manages Real Estate, Construction and Design, Workplace Technology, and Building Services in offices, factories, and distribution centers.   

This role requires a professional who will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on our Nestlé Solon corporate campus facility’s equipment and property structures. This role will ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at an optimum functionality to ensure a comfortable working environment for employees. Essentially the goal of this professional is to maintain the facilities and common areas in their best possible condition at all times. This role will also be supporting our design and construction team completing onsite projects and providing knowledge of our local systems. 

 

Major responsibilities:                                                                                                                          

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. 

  • Repair faulty equipment.  

  • Responsible for HVAC systems computer controls in buildings to maintain climate control. 

  • Responsible for all lighting in buildings with replacements or repairs as needed. 

  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, flooring, and plumbing. 

  • Maintain good condition exterior of buildings and campus grounds. 

  • Maintain records and inventory for equipment and supplies for facilities. 

  • Perform workplace adjustments as needed, physical moves of furniture & equipment on Campus. 

  • Respond and complete all building requests through our Archibus system in a timely manner. 

  • Adhere to all OSHA and Nestle Safety standards while performing day-to-day activities.  

  • Support and assist with all local design and construction projects as needed. 

  • Availability of working weekends and/or overtime as needed.  

  • Must maintain good housekeeping standards keeping work area’s neat and orderly, and floors free of slip and trip hazards throughout Campus at all times.  

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma.  

  • Trade school diploma or 2 years on-the-job experience in Maintenance, Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical. 

 

 

Preferred qualifications:  

  • Microsoft programs – Word, Outlook, Power point 

  • Experience with scissor lifts, comfortable working at heights. 

  • CPR certified 

  • HVAC certified 

 

Skills:        

  • Team oriented and eager to learn new skills.     

  • Self-driven with the ability to communicate well with others, orally and written. 

  • Effective in brainstorming & problem solving.   

  • Physically capable of climbing ladders. 

  • Capable of lifting heavy objects of 50lbs. 

 

Salary: $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year

 

Bonus Eligibility: Yes


The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
