In this Sr Manager role, you will be a trusted Co-Pilot in the Supply Chain Finance organization leading Warehousing. You will be responsible for driving a high performing finance culture while strategically managing our warehouse footprint and cost structure to enable an optimal supply chain.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high performing finance team to serve as true warehouse controllers and operational copilots that seek to minimize costs while optimizing labor.
  • Partner with Head of Warehousing to develop and implement strategy that optimizes geography, space, throughput, and model type.
  • Partner with Procurement to manage evolving cost dynamics within warehouse agreements and partnerships.
  • Support capital investment strategy that aims to maximize efficiency and effectiveness through automation, while serving sustainability and safety needs
  • Lead regular business reviews with warehousing and finance teams to assess operating performance and to identify potential areas for improved efficiency.
  • Manage month end close processes for P&L areas of responsibility.
  • Lead quarterly forecasting process for P&L areas of responsibility with key inputs from functional partners and consistent quantification, tracking, and management of potential risks and opportunities.
  • Assess network trends and changes, process challenges, and the broader supply chain environment for potential risks, to be quantified and regularly communicated.

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • Minimum five years of experience in Accounting/Finance function
  • BA/BS degree or the equivalent required
  • CMA certification preferred
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience preferred
  • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
  • Experience leading others strongly preferred
  • Some travel may be required

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (US GAAP for NUSA) or International Accounting Standards (IAS) assumptions, principles and constraints (i.e. economic equity, going concern, monetary unit, periodic reporting, historical cost, revenue recognition, matching, full disclosure, cost-benefit relationship, materiality, and conservatism)
  • Proven ability to design financial & non-financial measurements and key performance indicators that drive improved business performance
  • Develop, manage, and communicate financial initiatives that drive business results
  • Advanced knowledge of financial concepts & principles including cash flow, NPV, IRR, return on investment, Economic Profit, etc.
  • Apply expert knowledge of financial and accounting principles to the business.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement business operational improvements that drive improved performance and profitability
