POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst gathers and interprets financial information effectively and forms data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst identifies areas for change and makes recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities. You have rock solid financial understanding and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams throughout the organization and exercises good judgment, stays focused on results, and ensures the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
This role will support the Nestle Waters and Premium Beverages (NWPB) Division and will provide reporting and analysis on COGS, PPV, PRO, FX Exchange, Inbound Freight, and Cost Savings Projects. They will act as a change agent to drive standardization and improvement of processes and development of reporting tools supporting the Business Unit Leads, Decision Support teams, and Technical and Production Leadership. Also, the Senior Financial Analyst must have the ability to effectively communicate with multiple customers including Affiliate Finance & Manufacturing Teams, Co-Manufacturing Teams, other T&P Finance team members, Divisional and Brand Co-Pilots, and other T&P Functions.
This Senior Financial Analyst will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with counterparts on their Finance team, as well as all other cross-functional partners, to drive E2E optimization for the NWPB value chain.
Note, this position will require compliance with Nestle’s Hybrid in-office policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare period–end reporting to support and analyze COGS, PPV, PRO, FX Exchange, Inbound Freight, and Cost Savings Projects – providing valuable insights to key stakeholders
- Support the creation of Operational Budgets and Dynamic Forecasts. Coordinate analysis and presentation of results and insights to relevant stakeholders
- Manage monthly forecasts working with division, Operations Controller and Affiliate / Co-Manufacturing teams
- Support the updates to Forecasts (Risks & Opportunities) providing insights for operational cost variances and purchase price variances
- Prepare standardized and ad hoc operational financial performance reports
- Support ongoing projects as the T&P Finance representative, ensuring process changes and planned use of SAP allows for continued accuracy of costs to the P&L
- Drive ad hoc projects related to standardization of reporting, improving internal controls, or increasing efficiencies
- Provide insight into the establishment of Cost Savings Targets
- Consolidate and track actual cost savings performance at a project level monthly
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- BA/ BS with Major or Minor in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3.5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- Analysis, forecasting, budgeting experience
- Costing and accounting knowledge
- SAP or other ERP experience and knowledge of Essbase
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment or relevant costing experience
- CPA, CMA, CFM, CCE, MBA
- CPG/Food industry experience
- Understanding of global accounting standards, including IFRS
- Knowledge and understanding of Nestlé Accounting Standards
REQUIRED SKILL SET:
- Highly skilled and adept with Microsoft Excel and other data modeling
- Thorough understanding of financial statement relationships (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows) and profitability concepts and the demonstrated use of P&Ls to drive business decisions
- Commitment to first-time quality and accuracy in all work
- Strong project management skills; Ability to successfully manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously, including deadline-sensitive priorities
- Strong business acumen and value creation mindset
- Demonstrated critical thinking and strong analytical problem-solving skills; excellent ability to transform data into comprehensive and actionable insights
- Ability to communicate across Divisions and with upper levels of management (oral, written)
- Ability to successfully work both independently and as part of a team; able to build key relationships with multiple functions
