Responsible for the corporate-wide diverse supplier development and inclusive procurement program including establishing, managing, and continually improving policies, procedures, targets, and compliance. Directly supports the category management teams through Nestlé’s 7-Step Strategic Souring Process in the North America market creating visibility to supplier diversity landscape and impact by collaborating with Analytics and finance teams. Serves as Nestle’s liaison, key contact, and active member to diverse supplier organizations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and oversee NA Procurement supplier diversity program
- Define the supplier diversity strategy, goals and metrics
- Develop and communicate supplier diversity policies and procedures
- Engage senior leadership and internal stakeholders on the value of business diversity
- Identify and communicate opportunities to work with and develop minority, disabled, veteran, LGBTQ and women-owned businesses
- Locate diverse owned businesses through community and stakeholder outreach and leveraging supplier diversity tools
- Serve as the company ambassador to outside diversity initiatives
- Monitor compliance and progress re vendor diversity policies and targets
- Monitor, measure and report on progress against annual objectives for vendor diversity
- Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities for the vendor diversity programs and implement corrective actions
- Represent NA Procurement on Vendor process and systems projects
- SAP GLOBE Liaison – Vendor Master Data
- Spearhead the Vendor Master Process including gatekeepers, classification, etc.
- Nestlé 7 Step Strategic Sourcing Process Implementation (Self and Team)
- Analyze, consolidate and rationalize market spend to highest practical category level across Nestlé North America Business Units.
- Lead change management activities that supports the sourcing strategy and facilitate execution to drive compliance
- Ensure supply by continued development of diverse incumbent and new supply options on an on-going basis
- Ensure Supply, Responsible Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management and Savings Tracking
- Involved in the discovery and delivery of alternate sources of supplier ensuring business continuity and sustainability while minimizing business risk
- Supports with engaging suppliers to conduct Responsible Sourcing audits based on established guidelines and objectives
- Engages with the execution and management of the Supplier Relationship Management program and quantifies benefits and tradeoffs from diverse suppliers to Category management teams and BP Teams
- Interface and Work with Functional Leadership Teams within Nestlé – Including Business Partner Network, global / above market Category management teams
- Assists with the management of supplier diversity compliance at a category level including quantifying benefits and tradeoffs along with performance against supplier diversity goals by category, division and market
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement with proven success of category management required
- Experience of Power BI and other advanced data analytics tools preferred
- Program management experience is preferred
- Experience working with diverse suppliers is required
SKILLS:
- Exceptional business acumen, using broad-based knowledge of sourcing, procurement, supplier management processes, supplier diversity and inclusion.
- Understanding of, and passion for, business justification for diversity and inclusion of suppliers and demonstrate strong change leadership.
- Ability to interface and influence within the organization.
- Demonstrated strategic buying ability.
- Candidate must be a quick study, proven ability to adapt to change, ability to work across boundaries and boarders, strong decision making.
- Must exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as proven ability to influence at all levels in a matrixed organization
- Strong analytical skills, and effective skills in financial, market, and vendor analysis.
