Here's a breakdown of what to expect with this program:
Nestlé USA’s Manufacturing Co-op program is a development experience that provides selected individuals the opportunity to gain real world experience while pursuing their degree and deepen their understanding of manufacturing at Nestlé USA. 

The Springville Co-op program consists of 3-to-6-month rotational experiences in a factory environment intended to build capability and understanding of the quality assurance and manufacturing excellence teams at Nestlé USA. 

 

Whether you are joining the program as a sophomore, junior or senior, you will receive an exciting introduction to the world of Nestlé USA and begin to understand the various departments working in collaboration to make our products. As you further your educational career, you will begin to experience a unique breadth of work assignments within your area of expertise.

Your primary responsibilities:


As a Manufacturing Co-op, you will be learning and growing while delivering results for Nestlé USA through key projects, systems, and people.  Project assignments can provide the opportunity for the Co-Op to demonstrate initiative, work cross-functionally and gain knowledge and skills by recommending organizational actions that focus on cost savings or operational efficiencies.  Each Co-Op will be expected to complete a value-added project within the program timeframe
Co-Ops will also be expected to:
                         i.     Assist with food safety validations to comply with Model HACCP Requirements
                         ii.     Complete PRP, OPRP, and CCP Audits
                        iii.     Lead cost-savings projects resulting in at least $100K annual savings
                        iv.     Lead problem-solving teams to eliminate defects resulting in Factory Losses
                        v.     Create visual standards and training materials
Requirements
Education

In 2025 we are intending to hire two Co-Ops from April-September, with one that has a background in Engineering and Automation to assist QA and ME in optimizing the new automation and processes that are coming to the factory

 GPA of 3.0 and above preferred

 

Skills & Knowledge
•    Strong communication and presentation skills
•    Analytical skillset for data tracking and results analysis
•    Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
•    Demonstrate outstanding learning capabilities
•    Ability to deliver results on challenging assignments

 

Additional Requirements:
•    Comfortable working with people in various capacities in a factory setting
•    Able to work any shift, including second or third shift as required throughout program experiences
•    Open to working in facilities where ambient conditions may be very cold, wet or warm
•    Ability to start the program in April 2025
