Position Summary

We’re working on innovative foods and formulas that rival healthcare, pharma, human food, and tech companies around the world—foods and formulas that can extend the lives and cognitive function in maturing dogs and cats. We’re developing ways to improve the vision of cats and minimize pet allergies through quality nutrition. We were the first ever to extrude dry dog food and we’re backed by a lengthy list of patents—a portfolio of industry firsts. 

 

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for organizing and performing the necessary functions to maintain the Petcare facility, supplies and/or equipment under general supervision from the maintenance department. You will work to ensure safety in the workplace while maintaining the property and equipment within the facility.  

 

  • Perform routine maintenance of facility property and equipment  
  • Primary point of contact with maintenance group for repairs of PetCare facility and/or equipment 
  • Assist with maintenance initiatives to address issues from reports of the PetCare Committee and USDA inspections to ensure compliance with the Animal Welfare Act 
  • Perform calibration of and maintain calibration logs of equipment (e.g. scales, etc.) in PetCare facility 
  • Assist with maintaining inventory in parts cage and remote locations as well as purchasing functions to maintain inventory 
  • Communicate effectively with veterinary staff to report sick animals or unusual behavior observed  
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors when equipment is broken or damaged 
  • Adhere to all facility policies concerning safety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Nestlé Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)  
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment 

 

Requirements:   

  • High School Diploma (or GED) 
  • 3+ years of applicable experience in general facility maintenance 
  • General maintenance knowledge of repairs
