As the Factory Safety Manager, you are responsible for the successful development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs in Risk Management, Health and Safety Management, Training and Education, and Security/Loss Control Management. You will work with the Management team to establish the Plant’s Safety Performance goals. You will champion all safety policies and procedures and lead plant-wide safety meetings, teams, and functional training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and State Regulations.
- Direct all safety related training programs, including OSHA required training, and new hire safety trainings.
- Study data and trends to implement safety campaigns. Organize, coordinate and conduct training for Safety Committee on safety topics and current safety programs in the plant.
- Utilize Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) principles, tools, systems and processes to enhance performance. Develop and lead the safety systems for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Ensure effective injury case management process is fully implemented, well understood and functioning optimally. Provide customer service for all employees with inquiries in the areas of safety to include, but not limited to workers’ compensation, personal protective equipment, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in a safety or compliance role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment AND 2+ years of leadership experience
