This is a contract position providing services to Nestlé in the USA through a third-party staffing services organization. If you are selected for this role, you will be an employee of a third-party staffing partner and not Nestlé in the USA.

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for walking and socializing dogs under general supervision.

Shift: 20 hours/week, days can be flexible. All shifts are done in the early mornings between 6-11 AM typically. 

 

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $14.20/hour. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and all procedures and protocols in the Nestle Purina R&D Petcare Manual
- Adherence to Nestle Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Practice safety in the work area
- Adhere to policy and procedure regarding sick animals or unusual behavior observed in the dogs
- Report to the Supervisor any broken or damaged equipment, item or physical area
- Walk and socialize dogs
- Comfortable being on their feet for the entirety of their shift, and comfortable being outdoors

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participate in training and skill development as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
- Care for and monitor growth of pets

SUPERVISION GIVEN AND RECEIVED:
- General supervision received from the Supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
- High School Diploma (or GED)
- Prefer experience with dogs (ideally with different breeds and sizes)
- Ability to work well independently in a team and across groups
- Good interpersonal, communication, organization
- Available to regularly work weekends

 

Please note this contract position provides services to Nestlé in the USA on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment. Contractors in this position are hired and employed through Nestlé’s third-party staffing partner.
